MET-CERTIFIED continues to reach out to its target groups and organises 2 finance workshops on the importance of the link between certification & the financing of marine energy technologies
October 5, 2018 To bring our target groups developers and investors closer together, MET-CERTIFIED organises 2 finance workshops on the importance of the link between certification and the financing of marine energy technologies.Both workshops will be led by Andrew Smith of Deja Blue Consulting.
The first workshop already took place on 4th October, in the steergroup meeting of Ostend. Participants were mainly MET-CERTIFIED partners and a few marine energy technology developers. The aim of the workshop was twofold:
To harvest experiences of fundraising engagements and efforts of stakeholders to date
To lay out what stakeholders can and should do to improve prospects of securing funding related to certification
Workshop 2 (external), @ Ocean Energy Europe 2018 Edinburgh (UK), 31/10/2018 (14h-18h)
The second workshop is organised on 31st October in assocation and as a side event of Ocean Energy Europe 2018. The audience that is targeted are marine energy technology developers approaching commercialisation and funders or investors.
The aim of the workshop is:
To explain how certification acts as a positive tool in fundraising
To identify when it becomes beneficial to certify
To lay out what stakeholders can and should do to improve prospects of securing funding, related to certification as well as in general
